The past few weeks have been crazy, not just because of the holidays, but we decided to do some house updates in between. Crazy, I know, but it was the only time we had free with us both being off from work. We had ordered carpet for the master bedroom and foyer/hallway area and also vinyl for the laundry room, before Thanksgiving, from Lowes. We thought that it would take until January to come in, but Lowe's called in December saying that everything was in and we could schedule the week of Christmas. So we decided to schedule it then. My goal was to paint the railing in December, but we had plans every weekend, so I thought I would get it done the week of Christmas. The carpet and vinyl was arriving Friday and Saturday, so I had to bump up my time to paint in the beginning of the week. The results look amazing, but it took so much time. The black took the longest because I had to apply 3 coats and then 3 coats of poly-acrylic.
