Tis the season...

For decorating.  We went this past weekend to purchase our Christmas tree.  I was very excited to decorate this year, probably because it's our first Christmas in our new home.  Currently we are very limited on the furniture we own, so any added decorations to make the house look less naked makes it feel more like home.

Wreath from Target
Stocking holders and Santa - Kohl's

Bow is handmade from Michael's

Loved these butterflies from BigLots - $4 for a set of 4

First Blog Post

This is very exciting for me to start my first blog post.  I have been wanting to start a blog for a long time now, but just never took the time to sit down and sign-up.  I hope you like it and refer your friends.  I plan to blog about everything from fashion, renovating our first home and beauty to just daily life events. If you would like me to blog about anything specific, please leave a comment and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

My first blog post is about our new renovations that we did to our home.  My husband and I bought our first home a little over a month ago in Berks County, Pennsylvania.  It has been a very exciting time.  We have been trying to update a little here and there.  Our weekends consist of raking leaves and painting.  Our first REAL project was our master bedroom and laundry room. They are not completely finished yet, but I will post the progress in another post.

Friday, we had our foyer and master bath painted.  It took some time to decide the best color for the foyer.  I am very indecisive when it comes to paint color options.  I took to Pinterest and Google search to help me in the decision process.  I was really surprised what you can find on Pinterest as far as color options.  My husband and I like neutral tones so we knew we wanted something lighter in the foyer.  The brown needed to go ASAP...lol.  We were extremely pleased with the color and look, we are even thinking of extending the color into our family room.

Our Bathroom - I painted our bedroom a gray color, so we knew we wanted something that would complement that.  We chose a light gray.  This week we will install new switches and outlets in the foyer and bathroom.  Below are some before and after photos of each room.
