Dry Shampoo Review

Well... here we go! I have been looking for a good dry shampoo for awhile and after watching a whole heck of a lot of YouTube videos, I decided to pick up these two.  Batiste Dry Shampoo Cool & Crisp Fresh and Psssst! the TRUE Original - Both purchased at CVS. These were both top rated among YouTubers, so I decided to purchase Batiste first.  It was on sale too, so that was a definite perk.

Background story... the reason I had been looking for a dry shampoo was to eliminate my hair washing during the week.  My mom, the hairdresser, would always tell me not to wash my hair everyday because it would dry my hair out, but I never listened, I just couldn't stand my hair to get oily.  Most recently, I have been trying to wash my hair every other day, but it was killing me to have oily hair.  I would watch YouTube videos of girls that went 3 days without a wash....REALLY?????? That would never happen, unless I went camping or was super sick.  Two days is my max.

When I first tried Batiste, I was pleasantly surprised.  It left my hair smelling and feeling fresh, and gave some extra volume.  I noticed right away that there was A LOT of powder on me and in my hair.  I really had to rub it in to absorb the oils.  Overall I liked it, but I felt that it didn't last all day. By the middle of the day, I found I was putting my hair up.  Don't get me wrong it is a great product, I just didn't like all the powder. If you have darker hair, you are in luck.  They have a version just for you here. I might have to try the blonde dry shampoo in the near future.

Now on to Pssst! This is a great dry shampoo as well.  Much less powder and absorbs the oil just as good as Batiste.  I personally liked Pssst! better.  More so because of the powder and I didn't have it all over my clothes in the morning when getting ready for work.  It definitely soaks up the oils, but again it was not lasting the entire day for me.  Hopefully you will have a better result with both products.  I am open to suggestions for other brands to try.  I know I would also like to try some salon brands too.  Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or you would like me to review a different product.

Here are the backs of each dry shampoo.  I like the photos Batiste displays to show you how to use their product.

Visit Reviews.com, they spent 6 weeks researching, testing over 50 formulas and consulting with experienced stylists/beauty industry experts to determine which were the best at delivering fresh hair without a full wash! Batiste is in their TOP 5!!!

I hope you have a great weekend!
